Ilkley Prove too strong for Leos in EDF SEnior Vase Cup
Posted Monday, November 19 2007 by shield1977 | Despite a spirited display by Leos, they came up today against a strong all round Ilkey side who fully justified their victory at crag lane by 41-10 and marched on to the 4th round of the EDF Senior vase Cup Competitition.
The game was played throughout in a hard clean fought nature and whilst Leos held there own for periods of the game, the all round pace of the Ilkley side whose strong form of late has propelled them into second place of the Yorkhire Division 1, proved ultimately the deciding factor of this game.
On this showing Ilkey will have a great chance of progressing far in this competition, with sights firmly set on Twickenham.
