Leos run of good form came to an end on Saturday against table topping and Yorkshire division 2 champions elect Pocklington.
Leos were forced into making a number of changes as a number of the squad were on a skiing trip including James Hendry, Dave Robinson, Dave Barden and James Knibbs. Ed Connell and Ffordey were absent on babysitting duties, but this allowed the welcome reurn of ex yorkshire under 18 scrum half James Haslam to the backrow and the popular Oweb Bebb to the front row following a lay off with a shoulder injury.
There was a full house in attendance for the opening of the new Pocklington clubhouse including local dignitaries and representatives of the Yorkshire rufc committee.
Pocklington were deserved winners scoring tries through Reesx2,Holbrough,Davies,Pickard Conversions Bennettx3 Penalty Bennett.
Leos responded with a well worked try by Tom Bindloss who wore the 10 jersey with a conversion and penalty by Monty Wainwright. Lenny Lane came off injured with ligament damage but thankfully the injury is not as serious as first thought.
Leos will be looking to get back to winning ways next Saturday when they play West Leeds in a local derby.
