In very soft, sticky conditions because of the recent weather,Leos secured a nine point half time lead through three penalties, two from Ed Farmer and one from James Henry.Early in the second half,Barnsley reduced the margin to 9 - 3 through their own close range penalty but Leos continued to dominate possession and field position, before concerted effort from the forwards, allowed Jordache Myerscough to power over for the games only try, with Ed Farmer adding the conversion.A late consolation try earned Barnsley a deserved losing bonus point.
A much improved Leos performance, with Jordache Myerscough taking the Man of the Match award but more importantly, this was a committed, spirited, fifteen man performance.
Defeats for Bradford Salem and Roundhegians mean that the table is even more congested, although Sheffield Medics now appear firm favourites for promotion.Next week,Leos visit Bradford Salem
