Leo`s and Ilkley share spoils in mud bath!

A rainy,cold and windy morning did nothing to dampen the spirits of both our u8 and u7 teams at the weekend.Thanks to the excellent turn out we managed to field two strong teams.Nick Harris led the older lads in a fiercely competetive game which,according to the unbiased views of the Leo`s players,was won by a sizeable margin!
The u7 team ran and passed very well despite the freezing conditions.The final result of 6-6 showed how keenly the contest was fought.Special mention to captain Matthew who helped the younger lads in a very mature manner,new boys Kavan and Spike,and man of the match Joe Storey who had a couple of barnstorming runs in the second half.
A big thankyou to ALL lads and parents who turned out on Sunday- the weather forecast for the remainder of the season should be better!!
