Leos failed to make it through to the Cup competition for the first time and will need to make do with a run in the plate. First up were est Park and thanks to a Coach and 3 players turning up late preparations were not the best. A very close game saw West Park pipping it deservedly by one try to nil. The biggest diappointment came against Rounhegians who manfully shook off the drubbing we gave then a fortnight ago and the two teams failed to score in either half. Leos were generally poor and were lucky to go through to the third place playoffs on fewer tries conceded. Otley were a good side who had run Sandal close and we expected another poor show from Leos but the boys had woken up and entered into a blood and thunder game with lots of spirit. Otley may need a few lessons in anger management but the game was well refereed and their indiscipline and loose fists were well punished. Leos thought they had levelled the game towards the end with James darting over but it was deemed short of the line and we went out with our heads held high.
We ended a good positive note and the boys will need to learn there are no easy games anymore and the difference in winning and losing is very marginal with generally the team wanting it more winning. However well done on a cold wet and miserable day.
